Docking Shoal

Environment

Environmental studies carried out at the proposed Docking Shoal Offshore Wind Farm include:

  • Birds and marine mammals
  • Fish surveys
  • Benthic surveys
  • Commercial fishing
  • Shipping and navigation
  • Coastal processes
  • Marine archaeology
  • Seascape and visual assessment

Many of these studies were carried out in conjunction with the Race Bank and Lincs Offshore Wind Farms. The results of all of these studies are included in the Environmental Statement that was submitted along with the applications for consent to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in early December 2008.
