Centrica is the UK's largest domestic electricity supplier through its British Gas brand.

To meet this demand Centrica Energy delivers a balanced portfolio strategy. This involves generating power from our own assets to help reduce our exposure to price volatility, but also sourcing power through contracts and purchases from the wholesale market.

Centrica Energy owns eight gas-fired power stations and has a long-term tolling agreement with the Spalding plant in Lincolnshire.
